This piece was a collaborative effort with Tom Barrett, who actually happens to be one of my close childhood friends. When I left Milwaukee to Toronto, we somehow managed to stay somewhat connected through Instagram, and I saw his photography skills develop and flourish into something truly incredible starting from high school! Now that I’m back in Milwaukee it’s been a surreal full circle moment being able to collaborate on this print, as well as a fun creative challenge matching my traditionally cartoony and pop-art style with photography. I love print we put together, and the result is an unexpected but terrific blend of these two very different mediums.
